Clients of Lighting Services, Inc., Find 50% Energy Cost Reductions and Additional Intangible Benefits by Going "Green"
Twinsburg, Ohio (PRWEB) June 18, 2008 -- Lighting Services, Inc., headquartered in Twinsburg, Ohio today released details of a lighting retrofit plan for warehouses, manufacturing and distribution facilities that reduces energy costs by 50 percent. The plan is ideally suited for buildings 50,000 square feet and larger that are in use 2-3 shifts/day. Switching to high-intensity fluorescent (HIF) high bay lighting provides whiter and brighter light, according to Bob Taussig of Lighting Services, Inc. "The switch-out of their old, inefficient 460-watt lights with the much more energy efficient 224-watt HIF product we offer is easily cost justified, with most facilities achieving an 18-36 month return on investment (ROI)". Even plants that operate five to six days a week for 12-14 hours a day can achieve an excellent ROI, according to Taussig.
"Our goal is not only to cost justify our solutions, but to 'profit justify' them. Not only does our solution pay for itself over time, it soon begins to provide long-term savings that go right to the bottom line," said Taussig, a 25-year veteran of finding solutions for businesses.
Rising fuel prices, environmental concerns and a wavering economy have forced companies to search for ways to reduce their energy costs. Companies have also become more aware of the need and benefits of doing what's right for the environment.
"Companies are making the change for the savings," said Taussig. "Our systems can drop tens of thousands of dollars to the bottom line every year and our customers have discovered intangible benefits that contribute to a better workplace as well."
Taussig cites that because of the brighter environment, customers experience both improved worker morale and a safer workplace.
LSI provides customers a lighting audit at no charge and then meets with senior management to review expenses and the expected ROI. Once approved, the project is installed without disruption to the customer's operation. According to Taussig, the decision to invest in new lighting is driven by competitive pressures to increase efficiency at every level of an organization.
In addition to the energy cost reduction, customers may qualify for a substantial energy tax deduction extended through the end of 2008. The credit was introduced in the Energy Policy Act of 2005.
LSI is not new to the lighting business. The company has been offering turnkey lighting retrofit solutions for large buildings in northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania for over ten years.
